Prof. Wagner Menezes

Professor at the University of São Paulo - USP, Brazil.

Prof. Menezes studied Law firstly at the Universidade Estadual de Ponta Grossa (1994), to then pursue a Master of Laws in Social and Economic Law in the research stream of the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná (PUCPR) (2002) and a PhD in Law on issues of Integration of Latin America at the University of St. Paulo (USP) (2007). Furthermore he followed  a post-doctorate in international law at the Università degli Studi di Padova - Italy (2008) and conducted research at the International Tribunal for the Sea - Hamburg, Germany - ITLOS (2007).

 

He is currently an abirtrator at the Arbitration Court of Mercosur (the Olivos Protocol) - President ABDI - Brazilian Academy of International Law; Coordinator of the Brazilian Congress of International Law, Member of the Brazilian Society of International Law. Prof. Menezes has extensive experience in International Law, and in particular in: Foundations of Public International Law and Private foundations of Integration Law, Mercosur and EU law. He has published widely in different areas of International Law and lectured on related topics both in Brazil and abroad.
